TORONTO: #AI--Untether AI®, the leader in energy-centric AI inference acceleration, today announced that it has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification of its Quality Management System. A key milestone in Untether AI’s commitment to quality, this certification recognizes its internal quality systems for the runAI® and speedAI® AI inference acceleration devices, cards, and the associated imAIgine® Software Development Kit (SDK).

ISO 9001:2015 sets the requirements for a strong Quality Management System. It details specific processes, procedures, and activities that organizations must create, implement, maintain, and improve to successfully manage the making of products or delivery of services. This certification was audited by SGS, the industry’s largest provider of ISO audits, certification, and performance assessments. “The ISO 9001:2015 certification is an internationally recognized standard developed ensuring that a company’s products and services meet customer needs through an effective Quality Management System,” said Amy Wigas, VP Industrial & Transportation NAM and head of Global Services, SGS-North America, “This achievement highlights Untether AI’s ongoing commitment to a quality process across all operations with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement ensuring that Untether AI’s products and services meet the stringent requirements across all markets including automotive.”

Compute workloads have transformed over the past several years with the emergence of AI. This has given rise to a broad, industry-wide move to the adoption of heterogeneous computing platforms based upon domain-specific architectures where the combination of AI accelerators and CPUs leads to optimal hardware architectures to address these complex workloads. An effective quality management system, such as that established by the ISO 9001:2015 standard, is a cornerstone requirement for all products supporting this rapidly growing trend.

“We are gratified to have received ISO 9001:2015 certification,” said Bob Beachler, vice president of product at Untether AI. “This certification serves to underscore our focus on quality and continuous improvement and is a key milestone in our commitment to provide high-quality products for automotive, edge, and data center applications.”
