New PSA Encourages Hispanic Gun Owners to Store Firearms Safely
NEW YORK: Mundial Media, the leading contextual marketing platform focused on multicultural audiences, today announced that it will work with Casanova//McCann, the Ad Council, and Brady: United Against Gun Violence, to increase awareness of safe firearm storage amongst Hispanics with its latest public education campaign, “Da El Siguiente Paso” or “Take the Next Step.”
Hispanics are among the fastest-growing populations of gun owners in the US, accounting for 19 percent of the 7.5M new gun owners between 2019-2021. The PSA is part of “End Family Fire," a national effort from Brady and the Ad Council to promote safe gun storage and prevent tragedies that occur when guns in the home are misused.
“We are honored to work in partnership with Casanova//McCann, in support of Brady and the Ad Council, on such a critical initiative,” said Tony Gonzalez, CEO and Co-Founder of Mundial Media. “Gun violence is a devastating issue that disproportionately affects Hispanic families. Through targeted digital media strategies, we will work tirelessly to spread the message to protect Hispanic families from family fire and empower our communities to keep their loved ones safe.”
For its role in the campaign, Mundial Media will use Cadmus AI, its proprietary hyper-contextual engine, to generate awareness for this message amongst US Hispanics. The digital marketing technique aims to drive traffic to the “End Family Fire” websites at EndFamilyFire.org (English language) and DaElSiguientePaso.org (Spanish language) so Hispanic audiences can find information about safe gun storage and resources to prevent shooting injuries and deaths.
Mundial Media's Cadmus AI, the first hyper-contextual engine specifically designed for multicultural audiences, is a privacy-first solution that does not rely on third-party cookies. Cadmus AI leverages first-party data and predictive artificial intelligence (AI) to place advertisements relevant to specific groups, including Hispanics, Blacks, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), and LGBTQ+ audiences.
