Integer continues strategic growth in advanced technology development and operational solutions delivery for U.S. defense and commercial clients

COLUMBIA, S.C.: Integer Technologies, a defense tech company focused on delivering next-gen engineering solutions to government and commercial clients, announced today that Aaron Wagner, Ph.D., has joined the company as Chief Strategy Officer.

In this role, Wagner will focus on the strategic growth and delivery of Integer’s technology portfolio addressing the needs of defense, intelligence and commercial customers in uncrewed systems, sensors and perception, power and energy systems, advanced manufacturing, and cyber-physical assurance. Wagner will work closely with Integer’s executive, science and engineering teams; industry partners and customers to deliver customized, next-gen products providing decision and operational advantage, at the speed of relevance. Wagner will join a growing team with a passion for technology and national security, and a focused dedication to their clients’ missions.

“Integer is at an inflection point where we have built a critical mass of programs and expertise in digital engineering and autonomous systems, and we are making careful investments in proven leaders to help us take the portfolio to the next level,” said Duke Hartman, CEO of Integer Technologies. “Given recent global events, the U.S. military and our allies need the technological advantage, more than ever, to deter threats and maintain peace. I am thrilled to welcome Aaron to the team. His deep technical, business and leadership experience will be an asset as we develop next-gen technologies that give our customers an operational advantage by making better decisions, faster.”

Wagner spent the last 10 years of his career at Metron Inc., most recently as Vice President Corporate Business Development and Growth, where he led the company’s efforts to diversify product and client portfolios across government and commercial markets.

He brings deep technical experience in autonomous systems, having served previously as the Executive Director for Autonomous Systems, where he oversaw Metron’s unmanned systems business strategy, business development, recruitment and technical direction.

Wagner has led technical teams on research programs that include vehicle autonomy, machine learning, bio-inspired robotics, adaptive planning, autonomous fault mitigation, and mechanical and electrical engineering. He has led performer teams on major programs for DARPA TTO, DARPA STO, and multiple programs at NASA, NAVSEA PMS 406 and PMS 420, as well as commercial initiatives.

“Aaron’s extensive background with autonomous systems and working with important customers of ours, including DARPA and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, will be key in continuing to evolve Integer into a leading provider of advanced solutions for the DoD,” said Josh Knight, Ph.D., Integer Technologies COO.
