BOSTON: CollegeVine, the AI platform for higher education, today introduced two new AI agents: an AI Advisor for enrolled students and an AI Ambassador for alumni. The expansion builds upon the success of the company’s AI Recruiter, which is now being deployed by over 95 partner institutions and has facilitated over 500,000 conversations with prospective students.
By expanding the available AI agents on its platform, CollegeVine aims to confront a growing cost crisis in higher education. Over the last 20 years, the average cost of tuition and fees at public four-year institutions has risen 141%, with an average annual increase of 7%. Students and parents are doubting ROI on four-year college educations and colleges are closing at a rate of one-per-week as enrollment decreases. Much of the problem lies in administrative costs, which account for major increases in college tuition over the last few decades.
“At CollegeVine, our ultimate mission is to make higher education more accessible to students, and right now prohibitive costs are deterring enrollment and threatening the survival of schools. To correct this, we must go inside the machine and fundamentally rearchitect the higher education operating system,” said Zack Perkins, co-founder and CEO at CollegeVine. “That’s why we are expanding our AI agents to take on a greater diversity of workflows across the university.”
With the addition of Advisor and Ambassador, CollegeVine’s AI agent platform is now tailored for each of the three major constituencies across the student lifecycle: prospective students, current students, and alumni.
Cumulatively, CollegeVine’s AI suite will create a new operating system for universities, integrated with all systems of record, including CRM, SIS and ERP. The AI agents will seamlessly transition the journey from prospective student to alum, providing personalization throughout. These agents will also help universities rethink workflows to cut down on inefficient administrative processes.
