Evaluation allows CSG to measure and enhance business practices that positively impact the environment and society
DENVER: CSG® (NASDAQ: CSGS) today announced the successful completion of its inaugural double materiality assessment as a critical step to enhance its environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice and further inform its sustainability strategy. This comprehensive evaluation allows CSG to better understand the impacts, risks and opportunities of key ESG topics, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, employee wellbeing, customer data privacy and business ethics, based on both financial and impact materiality.
“To do business the right way and deepen our impact, our decisions need to be data driven,” said Cindy Parsons, executive director, Global Sustainability and ESG Reporting, CSG. “As a recognized best practice for holistically maturing our ESG practice, the double materiality assessment allows CSG to further embed sustainability throughout our organization and continue to build trust and transparency with our stakeholders.”
Based on 360-degree analysis from internal and external stakeholders and experts, the double materiality assessment evaluates the financial impact of sustainability and social matters as well as the effects of the company’s operations on the environment and society. The assessment follows a formal approach, including identifying and defining the most relevant ESG topics, gathering internal and external perspectives and assessing inward and outward impacts.
This comprehensive approach ensures that CSG identifies and addresses the most pressing ESG topics and meets the expectations of its stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities and investors. These findings will guide the company in reporting on its ESG performance, understanding of the efficacy of its current business practices and mapping out tangible, measurable goals for the future.
