New ISO certifications solidify Crisp as the gold standard in data sharing for the retail industry

BENTONVILLE, Ark.: Crisp, a leader in supply chain data and retail analytics, is proud to announce the achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27017:2015 certification, showcasing a commitment to best-in-class data security and privacy.

These standards are developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to guide the process of establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, and maintaining an information security management system (ISMS). Crisp worked with Johanson Group LLP to perform the certification audit that successfully validated conformity and certified Crisp’s ISMS against the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27017:2015 standards.

Where ISO 27001:2022 marks an international standard for managing information security, ISO 27017:2015 provides guidelines specifically designed for cloud-based environments. The prestigious recognition solidifies Crisp’s ability to maintain the highest levels of information security for its retail data commerce platform, empowering brands and retailers to share intelligence and drive growth securely.

In an industry where best practices related to sales and inventory data are foundational for success, ISO certification recognizes Crisp as a trusted partner for safe data sharing across brands, retailers and suppliers. With robust safeguards and systematic risk management practices, Crisp ensures that customer data is protected and optimized for actionable insights and seamless systems integration.

“Crisp’s mission is rooted in transforming supply chains to reduce waste and facilitate collaboration,” said Jeff Olchovy, SVP of engineering, Crisp. “Achieving ISO 27001 and 27017 certifications, along with our SOC 2 compliance, ensures our platform remains the most secure and reliable method for driving large-scale digital transformation in the retail industry.”

Recently recognized with a Food Logistics 2024 Top Software & Tech Award, Crisp’s semantic layer technology for the retail industry positions the platform as the gold standard for clean, usable data – providing a necessary foundation for leveraging AI in retail analytics.

ISO certifications reinforce Crisp’s dedication to ensuring that transformative technology remains secure and reliable as it powers the next generation of retail and supply chain solutions.
