OVERLAND PARK, Kan.: #ArtificialIntelligence--Netsmart announces that Arisa Health, the largest1 non-profit behavioral health provider in Arkansas, has selected the CareFabric® platform to support enhancement of clinical, financial and operational efficiencies across the organization’s high-quality services and treatment programs. Through this collaboration, Netsmart will equip Arisa Health with advanced technology to help streamline workflows and support the delivery of integrated, whole-person care to the more than 52,0002 individuals served annually as they continue to expand their services.

Arisa Health was established in March 2020 through the merger of four legacy Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) to form the state’s premier integrated behavioral health system. With the organizations operating across different electronic health record (EHR) systems, Arisa Health underwent a thorough evaluation process, ultimately selecting Netsmart myAvatar™.

“Our collaboration with Netsmart is not just about updating our technology; it’s about streamlining operations and enhancing patient care,” said Anne Sheetz, SVP of Operations at Arisa Health. "We recognized the need for a unified platform that would consolidate our data and improve our workflows, which was a significant challenge with our previous, fragmented system."

Arisa Health will soon implement myAvatar, an ONC-certified EHR specifically built for enhanced user experience, leveraging near real-time analytics and clinical decision support. The organization offers a range of evidence-based services and programs in 41 counties across northern Arkansas, including outpatient counseling, case management, residential services, therapeutic foster care, primary care, school-based behavioral health, substance use recovery and 24/7 crisis support for individuals and families. By integrating the Netsmart comprehensive platform, Arisa aims to optimize care delivery and drive positive outcomes for each individual it serves.

In addition, Arisa Health will utilize a variety of solutions and services of the CareFabric platform, which incorporates advanced reporting capabilities, integrated revenue cycle management, augmented intelligence (AI) clinical documentation and a client portal, thereby standardizing operations and enhancing service delivery.

The use of the Netsmart RevConnect™ solution aims to enhance Arisa Health’s revenue cycle management, improving claims processing and collections while maximizing staff efficiency. The AI-powered clinical coach, Bells, helps enable organizations to reduce documentation time by 60%3, enhancing both provider productivity and supporting care quality.

“Organizations embracing advanced technology solutions today are empowering their staff to focus more on the meaningful work essential to their mission and the communities they serve,” said Kevin Mallot, SVP & GM of Human Services, Netsmart. “Arisa Health is at the forefront of this movement, proactively addressing the increasing demand for mental health services amid regional and statewide growth. By investing in innovative technology and supporting their workforce, Arisa Health is not only enhancing healthcare delivery but also significantly advancing the wellbeing of the individuals in their care.”

As Arisa Health embraces this new collaboration, the focus is set on long-term growth and scalability to better serve communities across Arkansas. “When you combine the largest non-profit behavioral health provider in the state of Arkansas with the strongest EHR platform—that’s something to be excited about,” said Brian Davis, Chief Clinical Officer of Arisa Health.
