TAIPEI, Taiwan: #AI--Join TrendForce on January 8, 2025, at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, USA, for an insightful seminar alongside CES 2025. TrendForce analysts will present on key topics, including near-eye display, AI Server, foundry, memory industry, and NAND market update. Highlights of the seminar are as follows.

Future Vision: VR/AR Devices Driving Near-Eye Display Advancements

VR/AR technologies and other metaverse devices, empowered by integration with AI capabilities, are poised to accelerate their adoption and impact across various aspects of human life.

VR will transition from entertainment and leisure into productivity tools, with OLEDoS enhancing high-end products to deliver a more immersive user experience. AR, an auxiliary tool for daily life, is designed for all-day use indoors and outdoors. Therefore, projection displays must be lightweight and have high brightness characteristics. LEDoS and LCoS technologies possess the relative advantages needed to become the mainstream display technology options for AR glasses. Integrated AI and near-eye display technology in VR and AR devices will enrich our life experiences.

TrendForce projects that shipments will reach 40.1 million units for VR and 25.5 million units for AR devices in 2030.

2025 Global AI Server Market and Supply Chain Dynamics

The presentation will focus on the AI server’s market forecast and the key dynamics of its supply chain, such as CoWoS, HBM, and liquid cooling. In addition to the development of NVIDIA and AMD's GPU solutions, the growing trend of self-developing ASIC chips by large CSPs, including AWS and Google, will also be covered. According to TrendForce, the CAGR of global AI server shipments from 2023 to 2028 is estimated to surpass 20%. During this session, attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into the AI server market’s opportunities in 2025 and beyond.

Predicting the 2025 AI Industry Development through Foundry Dynamics

The HPC demand driven by AI applications has been soaring for nearly two years, becoming the primary driving force behind advanced processes and the foundry industry. Starting in 2025, in addition to existing AI chip suppliers and CSPs developing their customized chips, memory suppliers are also racing to partner with advanced process foundries to meet the demand for HPC. The IP, design services, and OSAT ecosystems supporting the foundry industry have become essential resources in the AI arms race. Beyond the opportunities in advanced processes, whether Edge AI can inject new energy into the long-dormant demand for mature processes, how the foundry industry will transform under the development of Cloud AI and Edge AI in 2025, and how geopolitics will impact the global layout of the foundry industry are key points of interest.

Exploring Memory Industry Development Trends through the Surge of HBM Technology

This presentation provides an outlook for HBM 2025, including the competitive landscape of suppliers, price trends, and market updates. It also discusses the next generation HBM4. Since HBM is the most critical product in the memory industry, its supply and demand dynamics significantly impact the overall memory industry and determine the profitability of various suppliers. Alongside HBM, the outlook for DRAM this year will be covered, focusing on demand forecasts, supply-side analysis, inventory level updates, and changes in buyer mentality.

NAND Market Update-projection into 2025

This presentation provides an analysis of the NAND flash memory market in 2025 and highlights the following key trends:

1. Sluggish Demand: Demand for NAND is expected to remain weak due to the slow recovery of the smartphone and channel markets.
2. Supply Constraints: A potential shortage of NAND flash memory may arise as manufacturers prioritize investments in DRAM and HBM to meet the growing demands of the AI sector. This shift in production could lead to a conservative supply bit growth rate.
3. Rising Competition: YMTC is poised to become a major player in the NAND market, further intensifying competition.
4. Geopolitical Risks

This is an invite-only event. Media members who wish to attend are kindly requested to reach out to TrendForce’s media contacts. Thank you for your understanding!
