LAS VEGAS: Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global IoT solutions provider, is proud to announce its recognition as a Gold Partner in the NXP Partner Program, highlighting Quectel’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge IoT solutions in partnership with NXP® Semiconductors, a global leader in secure connectivity for embedded applications.
Quectel’s status as Gold Partner reflects its proven expertise, technical capabilities, and strong alignment with NXP’s vision to accelerate advancements in IoT applications. This enhanced partnership enables Quectel to work even more closely with NXP, offering robust solutions to customers worldwide.
“This partnership enables us to deepen our collaboration with NXP and deliver next-generation IoT and automotive solutions to our customers,” commented Norbert Muhrer, President and CSO, Quectel Wireless Solutions. “Together, we aim to drive innovation and create value for businesses operating at the forefront of digital transformation.”
“This Gold Partnership represents a strong and vital relationship that NXP and Quectel share across our products, strategies, and a global customer base,” said Larry Olivas, General Manager and Vice President, Wireless Connectivity Solutions, NXP. “Quectel is an industry-recognized module manufacturer and is instrumental in bringing advanced engineering and robust connectivity to our broad customer base. Quectel is bringing several NXP-based Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio modules to market, including the FGS061N and FGS060N, integrated with the NXP IW611 and IW612 chipsets. They are also launching the FCMA62N, based on the RW610 dual radio connected microcontroller. This is the beginning of a long and successful future together and we are proud to have Quectel as a strategic partner for NXP."
Quectel’s FGS060N and FGS061N modules, powered by NXP chipsets, are part of Quectel’s high-performance Bluetooth and Wi-Fi solutions designed for modern IoT applications. Both modules support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, with the FGS060N also offering IEEE 802.15.4 support. Built on the IEEE 802.11ax standard, they deliver MCS 0–MCS 11 rates within an 80MHz bandwidth with 1024QAM, ensuring robust WLAN performance through a reliable SDIO 3.0 interface. Both modules are ideal for use in applications including IoT gateways, smart speakers, micro-mobility and electric charging applications among others.
Additionally, the latest module from Quectel’s range, the FCMA62N, powered by the NXP RW610 chipset, supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi protocols and BLE 5.3. With a built-in Arm® Cortex®-M33 core dedicated for customer applications, 1.2 MB SRAM, 8 MB flash, and support for advanced security standards including WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA3-SAE, and AES-128 encryption, the FCMA62N ensures robust connectivity and security.
Connecting via an RF coaxial connector or with an optional PCB antenna, there is a complete range of suitable antennas for the FCMA62N including the YFBP001WWC SMD embedded chip antenna, the YF0026AA FPC embedded antenna, the YEBT001W1AM terminal antenna and the YEBM001L1AH external Wi-Fi antenna. The FCMA62N is certified for use in Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and is also a qualified Bluetooth product by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
As a Gold Partner, Quectel gains privileged access to NXP’s resources, tools, and technical expertise, enhancing its ability to integrate NXP’s cutting-edge technologies into its portfolio of IoT modules and solutions. This collaboration will enable the development of advanced products that address emerging market demands in areas such as smart cities, connected vehicles, and industrial automation.
The Gold Partner status marks a pivotal step in Quectel and NXP’s shared journey to foster innovation and deliver unparalleled value to the IoT sectors. Both companies are committed to leveraging their combined strengths to empower businesses and improve lives globally.
Quectel will be exhibiting at CES 2025 – attendees can find out more about the NXP-based range of modules and the full range of Quectel products and services at LVCC, North Hall – 9863. Schedule some time here to meet with the team.
