The Italian IoT company is in the US for the second phase of CALL4INNOVIT
Partitalia is now in the United States, in San Francisco, for the second phase of CALL4INNOVIT, a programme for Italian SMEs and start-ups active in the technological innovation field. The company, specialised in IoT solutions powered by advanced technologies, overcame a selection of 70 candidates to take first place among the SMEs admitted to Phase 2.
INNOVIT is the first Italian Innovation and Culture Hub in San Francisco, promoted by the General Directorate for the Country System of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Washington and the Consulate General in San Francisco, and managed with the support of the Foreign Trade Institute and the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco. The aim is to foster integration between the Italian technology ecosystem of excellence and US-made entrepreneurship, with its forward-looking approach and venture capital resources.
Partitalia, which has been investing in Waste Collection for more than a decade, participated in the ‘Green Energy, CleanTech, ClimateTech, AgriFoodTech’ call for proposals within the SME Traction programme, aimed at Italian SMEs operating in the research and innovation sectors, interested in starting or consolidating internationalisation activities in the US.
After the first phase, delivered online through mentoring and training, the second will take place in the field, at the Italian Innovation Centre in San Francisco, with specific programmes to give companies the opportunity to meet and initiate potential collaborations with Silicon Valley innovation players. Partitalia's presence at INNOVIT is, therefore, seen as strategic for seeking opportunities, new partners and creating synergies.
Waste collection is generally carried out at fixed times, with overflowing bins and non-optimised routes. This inefficiency results in increased operating costs for waste management companies and a sub-optimal delivery experience for citizens.
Partitalia's goal is to optimise the collection, quality and traceability of deliveries through interconnected IoT solutions. The Italian tech company manages the development and production of its waste collection solutions in-house, integrating advanced technologies such as RFID, IoT and Blockchain.
The interconnected ecosystem of IoT solutions for collection includes RFID readers that can be worn by the waste collector and vehicle-mounted RFID readers that ensure accurate data collection. As well as access-controlled delivery solutions that restrict access to bins and waste islands to authorised users, facilitating effective waste collection scheduling.
