Bravo Innovation Hub Palermo: 20 startups selected for acceleration

The acceleration program developed by MIMIT selected the best startups for the “New energy, green and clean tech” and “Inclusion, social impact and Health” subprograms

Bravo Innovation Hub, the acceleration program developed by MIMIT (Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy) and Invitalia, held in Palermo its Demo Day for the 20 startups selected for “New energy, green and clean tech” and “Inclusion, social impact and Health” subprograms. At the Demo Day, the Founders and CEOs of the 20 selected startups presented their innovative solutions in front of an audience of more than 100 participants. Some 30 investment funds, business angels and corporate investors were present. These included the Achernar Fund and multinational Toshiba, with its Bralys division dedicated to startups.

The following startups presented their innovative solutions during Bravo Innovation Hub Palermo Demo Day for New energy, green and clean tech subprogram.

Aroundrs - A technology platform for packaging reuse.
Clentech - Created an innovative photocatalytic compound with anti-pollution, antiviral, antibacterial qualities.
Green Independence - Decentralizes green energy production and storage and enables low-cost production of green hydrogen from wastewater.
Hyp-er - Develops innovative technology that promises to revolutionize the electric forklift industry.
Hyper Wind - Helps wind turbine manufacturers improve the efficiency of their products through an Active Flow Control system on the blades.

Plastiz - Turns plastic scrap into 100% recycled and recyclable surfaces destined for the furniture world.
Relicta - Developed a water-soluble, biodegradable and compostable bioplastic from fish industry processing waste.
Rombo.ai - Aims to revolutionize the field of chemical analysis through the use of artificial intelligence.
Saba Technology - It aims to address challenges such as food and crop quality, water scarcity, and green energy production through the development of new green solutions.
Sunspeker - Develops aesthetic solutions for the photovoltaic industry, To make solar panels aesthetic, making them integrated into the environment.

The Inclusion, social impact and Health subrogram selected the following startups:

CanguroLab - A community dedicated to parents seeking sustainable and environmentally friendly choices for raising children.
Cheap Fit - App with the goal of stimulating users' active lives through a gamification system.
Creecon - A platform dedicated to content creators, allowing them to get known, get followed, and sell their work.
Fama Labs - It is developing YSI, an AI-based system that can simplify the data collection process during clinical trials and optimize patient monitoring.
FinanzApp - Made an app to foster financial education among the younger generation, starting as early as schools.

Isola Catania - An impact community hub that aims to support innovative projects and create networks by targeting talent, businesses, and profit and nonprofit organizations.
Longevi - A B2C platform to buy treatment plans with packages of specialist visits and preventive care.
Medigenium - Platform for the digitization of medical examinations.
Nipote in affitto - Platform that provides support services for senior citizens such as digital education, administrative support, and cognitive maintenance.
U-Care Medical - Dedicated platform for resuscitation departments to manage major patient complications.

Aroundrs, Cheap Fit, Clentech and Relicta have been selected for specific prizes and/or will gain equity investments. Five startups are already working on industrial and commercial partnerships with Sicilian companies of the Mechatronic, Logistics and Digital Tranformation markets.
